Sky Channel Changes – February 2021

What’s happening?
  • 1 March New channel Investigation Discovery (ID) (Sky channel 018) will launch – available to customers with the Sky Entertainment package
  • 1 March - Discovery Channel will be available to Sky customers who subscribe to the Sky Starter package
  • 1 March - Selected Food Network shows will find a new home on Living channel, creating a supersized lifestyle channel (Sky channel 017), available to customers with the Sky Entertainment package
  • 16 March - Soho2 will close, all the content will be moved over to the Soho channel (Sky channel 10) which means no content will be lost
Why are you making changes?
  • Discovery to starter; we think it’s a great way to add more value to our customers, with pretty much every Sky subscriber now able to access Discovery content. Our customers tell us that they love Discovery, so we wanted to make it available to as many as possible
  • Launch of ID - customers also have the option of a brand-new channel in our Entertainment package with the launch of ID. We are always looking for ways to improve our offer and bring new, exciting content to our customers.
  • Food network changes - we know there is a considerable crossover of people watching both Living and Food Network.  By bringing the best of Food Network content to Living, we can make Living a supersized lifestyle channel.
  • Removal of Soho2 -our huge Sky Nation customer feedback panel has been super clear – “too many repeats”.  We’ve listened, so we’re moving all the awesome shows from Soho 2 to SoHo.  It’ll all be in one place.
Are you losing some Food Network content?
A selection of Food Network shows will broadcast throughout the week on Living and Thursday nights will see a food takeover from 8.30pm.
